We provided two different ways you can interact with our game:

1. Point:

  • Point with the pointer to highlight the desired interaction

  • Select the ground to move the character​ (During gameplay)

  • Double select the ground to increase the speed of the character (During gameplay)

2. Focus:

  • Use the right input to focus on the next interactable in the scene

  • Use the left input to focus on the previous interactable in the scene


Depending on your selected navigation mode, not all of the following controls will be applicable:

  • Pointer: Moves the cursor around the screen (Point)

  • Up: Move upwards (Focus)

  • Down: Move downwards (Focus)

  • Left: Move to the left (Focus)

  • Right: Move to the right (Focus)

  • Select

    • Interact with the interaction you have highlighted

    • Skip or progress to the next line of dialogue (During cutscenes)

  • Deselect

    • Go back to previous page (In menus)

    • Cancel walking (During gameplay)

    • If holding an item return it to the backpack (During gameplay)

  • Highlight: Toggle all interactable highlights in the scene off or on

  • Run: Hold to increase your character's speed

  • Side Menu: A shortcut to toggle the side menu's display off or on

  • Pause: A shortcut to toggle the pause menu's display off or on

  • Backpack: A shortcut to toggle the backpack's display off or on

  • Diary: A shortcut to toggle the diary's display off or on

Each of these input actions can be remapped to your preferred input.

Stories of Blossom can be played with the following device configurations:

  • Mouse and Keyboard

  • Mouse Only

  • Keyboard Only

  • Game Controller


  • Pointer Sensitivity: The sensitivity of your pointer (Controller only)

  • Input Delay: The delay before a new input is registered from 0 to 3

  • Invert Y Axis: Invert up and down input (Controller)

  • Invert X Axis: Invert left and right input (Controller)

  • Dead zone: How far the stick has to be pushed before the input action is performed. (Controller)

  • Press Point: How far the trigger has to be pushed before the input action is performed (Controller triggers)
